Invitation letter
Please do not hesitate to contact us by email if you need an invitation letter to participate in the ISHAM Conference 2012 in Berlin, Germany.
We regret that this invitation does not include travel, personal insurance, accommodation costs or registration fees. These must be arranged separately. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Visa information
Germany is part of the so-called Schengen zone, thus citizens from countries being part of this area and citizens from the EU, do not need special visas to enter Germany.
Foreigners who need an official invitation letter to obtain visa should contact the Congress Secretariat at least four months prior to the congress.
Travelling to Berlin…
…by Plane
The new international airport Berlin-Brandenburg (BER) will probably be opened on 03rd June 2012.
The former airports Tegel (TXL) and Schönefeld (SXF) will then no longer be operated.
Please be aware of changes and follow the updated information of your airline.
…by Train
Berlin can be reached from all directions by using the fast InterCityExpress-, InterCity-, EuroCity- and InterRegio Trains. All train-stations are well connected to the public transport.
The main railway stations are Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof and Spandau.
For congress delegates special rates have been negotiated with “Deutsche Bahn”. In order to book the reduced tickets, please follow the guideline .
